During operations in the area, the Commando Brigade has encountered and eliminated numerous terrorist cells in close-quarter battles, as IDF forces strengthen their operational control over western Khan Yunis.

During the week, the Maglan Unit encountered and shot three terrorists who were armed with an AK-47 and an RPG. A body camera was subsequently found in the possession of the terrorists.

In recent days, the Maglan Unit raided a Hamas military compound embedded inside a mosque and found a tunnel shaft inside. Near the mosque, stockpiles of weapons and tactical radios were found. The soldiers also conducted a targeted raid on an explosives laboratory.

A terrorist preparing to fire an RPG at the Egoz Unit forces was killed by the troops. A few minutes later, five additional terrorists who arrived armed with RPGs were also killed by the soldiers at close-range.
