The Commanding Officer of the Central Command During Preparations for the Month of Ramadan: "Our mission, as always, is to provide effective defense that enables routine life and security for residents, while also preserving freedom of worship during the month of Ramadan."

The Commanding Officer of the Central Command, MG Avi Bluth, the Head of the Civil Administration, BG Hisham Ibrahim, and the Commanding Officer of the Judea and Samaria Division, BG Yaakov Dolef, conducted situational assessments in the field ahead of the second weekend of Ramadan.

The commanders discussed the operational situation and carried out a tour of crossings and the Cave of the Patriarchs, together with the Israel Police Commander of the Judea and Samaria District, Major General Moshe Finchi, and the Israel Border Police’s Commissioner for the Judea and Samaria region, Deputy Commissioner Niso Gueta.

During the month of Ramadan, the IDF and Israeli security forces are acting to enhance security in Judea and Samaria. As part of these efforts, troops have been reinforced and wanted suspects have been apprehended. These measures are being taken alongside the expansion of the counterterrorism operation in northern Samaria.

At the same time, even during Ramadan, the security forces continue their defensive efforts across the Central Command area, alongside extensive counterterrorism operations and the ongoing operation in northern Samaria."

From the words of the Head of the Civil Administration, BG Hisham Ibrahim:

"The security forces are prepared to enable the Muslim public to observe the days of Ramadan, including a limited and regulated entry for Friday prayers at the Temple Mount. This is being done alongside ongoing intensive efforts to thwart terrorist elements and threats in the area. The security forces will uphold freedom of worship while taking a firm stance against those who attempt to exploit the holiday to carry out terrorist activities and harm the security of the region and its residents."
