Over the past two days, an exercise was held in the Northern Command for the 91st Division and the 146th Division, led by the Ground Forces Training Center and in cooperation with the Israel Air Force and the Israeli Navy. The troops trained in coordination with the Israel Police’s Coastal and Galilee Districts, the Fire and Rescue Services, Magen David Adom, local defense units, and additional security bodies.

The exercise included a variety of defense scenarios, transitions from routine to emergency, in communities near the border, at sea, and at the home front, as well as a practice raid on commanding terrain in Lebanon.

IDF soldiers have been intensively operating over the past year and a half, achieving significant accomplishments in the effort to degrade the capabilities of the Hezbollah terrorist organization in southern Lebanon.
Currently , the troops remain deployed along the Lebanon border and at five positions in southern Lebanon, in order to defend the communities and residents of the Galilee, while continuing to prepare for a range of scenarios.

The exercise was pre-planned as part of the annual training schedule and as part of efforts to enhance the readiness of troops across all arenas.

Attached are the remarks of the Commanding Officer of the Northern Command, MG Ori Gordin: "For many months, we have been operating against any threat to the residents of Israel, and we will continue to do so. We are acting, and will continue to act, to identify and thwart any formation or intent. We will not allow the Hezbollah terrorist organization to recover.
This exercise is another step in strengthening our readiness for the day of command, both in defense and offense. We will continue to learn, practice, and train, and to operate in multi-agency and joint-force cooperation.
I’m glad to see residents returning to their homes, our responsibility is to protect them."
