Arena Overview

Southern Israel

The IDF continues to progress in its mission to dismantle Hamas’ military capabilities. The IDF completed the encirclement of Hamas forces in Gaza City, securing areas to the north, south and east, and will continue to operate against Hamas in the area.
Overnight, IDF forces seized terrorist strongholds which contained grenades, explosives, protective gear, communications equipment and maps. The terrorists in these locations were eliminated.
The fighting has been very intense, close quarters combat. The air force and navy are working together with troops on the ground in Gaza to eliminate threats to our forces.
The IDF has notified the families of 338 IDF soldiers fallen in the line of duty and the families of 241 hostages in Gaza.
Hamas continues to exploit civilian infrastructure in Gaza for its terrorist purposes. IDF intelligence released an intercepted phone call with a Shifa hospital source in which it was made abundantly clear that Hamas has stockpiled massive quantities of fuel for its own purposes in Shifa.

68 trucks of humanitarian goods entered the Gaza Strip on Thursday. In total, over 300 trucks of goods have entered the Gaza Strip in the past ten days.

Rockets continued to be fired at Israel from Gaza, predominantly towards southern Israel.

Northern Israel

An anti-tank missile from Lebanon was fired towards an IDF post near the community of Mattat. No injuries were reported. IDF soldiers responded with artillery fire toward the origin of the launch.
Yesterday (Thursday), in response to fire from Lebanon toward Israel, the IDF struck a terrorist cell inside a Hezbollah compound and struck Hezbollah terrorist infrastructure in Lebanon.

Yesterday a terrorist cell that attempted to launch anti-tank missiles from Lebanon toward Israel in the Har Dov area was struck by IDF tanks.
In addition, an IDF soldier was moderately injured and a reservist soldier was lightly injured yesterday after a UAV targeted an IDF post in the Har Dov area. The soldiers were evacuated to a hospital to receive medical treatment.
