Gen. Dempsey will meet with IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Gantz and senior security personnel in his third visit to Israel as Chairman of the Joint Chiefs.

The Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff of the United States General (****) Martin E. Dempsey will arrive in Israel Monday (August 12) as part of a tour of the region. Gen. Dempsey will be hosted by IDF Chief of the General Staff Lieutenant General Benny Gantz. This is Gen. Dempsey’s third visit to Israel in his capacity as Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.

Gen. Dempsey will conduct work meetings with Lt. Gen. Gantz and other senior Israeli security personnel during which they will discuss military cooperation between Israel and the U.S and mutual security challenges. Gen. Dempsey will also meet with the Prime Minister of the State of Israel Mr. Benjamin Netanyahu, President Shimon Peres, and Minister of Defense Moshe Ya’alon.

The general will be greeted with an honor guard at Camp Rabin (Kirya).
