IDF: IDF Chief of the General Staff during a situational assessment in southern Lebanon: “Over 1,000 Hezbollah terrorists have been eliminated, and that number will continue to rise. The damage to Hezbollah will intensify”

The Chief of the General Staff, LTG Eyal Zamir, toured today (Sunday) the area of Ras el-Bayada, the northernmost point in southern Lebanon where IDF soldiers are currently operating.

As part of the visit, the Chief of Staff conducted a situational assessment and a discussion with commanders including Northern Command Commander, MG Rafi Milo; the Commander of the 146th Division, BG Benny Aharon; the Commander of the 226th Brigade, Col. A.; and additional commanders.

The Chief of Staff expressed his appreciation to the 146th Division, the soldiers and commanders of the 226th Brigade, and commended them for their actions, as well as the creativity, ingenuity, and fighting spirit demonstrated in carrying out the mission.

From the remarks of the Chief of the General Staff, LTG Eyal Zamir, during the discussion with the commanders:

“The IDF is striking Hezbollah, a terrorist organization, with determination, extensively, and across multiple fronts. This includes strikes against its operatives, its command and control centers, its terrorist infrastructure, its military capabilities, its weapons, its financial capabilities, and more. Over 1,000 Hezbollah terrorists have been eliminated, and that number will continue to rise. The damage to Hezbollah will intensify.

Every terrorist target and any target that supports terrorism in Lebanese territory will be struck. The entire area south of the Litani has become an operational zone in which Northern Command soldiers and the Air Force are systematically targeting Hezbollah operatives until it is ensured that the entire area up to the Litani River is free of threats to Israel and our northern communities. We issued advanced warnings to the residents of southern Lebanon for their protection and to enable freedom of military operation.

With regard to the current objectives in Lebanon - the IDF is engaging Hezbollah in precise operations in order to strengthen defense and push the threat away from northern communities. We will remain on this line as long as required.

The IDF is working to suppress and reduce high-trajectory fire from Lebanon. This will take time but we will continue to significantly degrade their capabilities. The IDF is expanding the mission that began in Operation ‘Northern Arrows’ and will continue to severely degrade Hezbollah. Alongside all this, we will maintain operational freedom of action throughout Lebanon.

The objective of disarming Hezbollah is defined as a top-tier goal, an ongoing objective that predates the current operation. Roaring Lion will advance it. As outlined, we will advance this objective with more operational achievements and through measures led by the political echelon, while preserving military freedom of action to remove threats.

We mourn our fallen soldiers in this operation and will investigate every incident in which they fell. They fell in the fight to defend our country and to ensure the security of the residents and communities of the north.”

IDF: The IDF struck gas stations and command centers used by Hezbollah terrorists

The IDF continues to further degrade the Hezbollah terrorist organization’s capabilities in Beirut.

In recent days, the IDF struck two gas stations of the “Al-Amana” company, which were controlled by Hezbollah and served as significant financial infrastructure supporting its terrorist activities.

The gas stations were used to refuel trucks transporting weapons and Hezbollah terrorists, while generating millions of dollars in profits that funded the organization’s terrorist activity.

Since the beginning of Operation Roaring Lion, the IDF has struck more than 15 gas stations of the “Al-Amana” company.

In additional strikes today (Sunday) in Beirut, the IDF struck Hezbollah command centers, from which Hezbollah terrorists planned to carry out terror attacks against IDF soldiers and Israeli civilians.

The IDF will continue to operate decisively against the Hezbollah terrorist organization after it chose to join the attack on Israel and operate under the auspices of the Iranian regime.

IDF: IDF Chief of the General Staff in Nahariya and Shtula: “We are engaged in targeted operations in southern Lebanon and will not stop until the direct threat to you is removed—this is our top priority. Your resilience will pave the way for long-term security in the north”

The Chief of the General Staff, LGT Eyal Zamir, held a meeting today (Sunday) with the Mayor of Nahariya and members of the local emergency response team of Moshav Shtula.

The Chief of the General Staff spoke with them about the operational situation and emphasized the importance of civilian resilience demonstrated by local and municipal leaders.

From the remarks of the Chief of the General Staff, Lieutenant General Eyal Zamir:
“We are fighting inside Lebanon in order to defend Nahariya and the northern communities, and to ensure long-term security for the residents. An opportunity has been created here to change the security reality, and we will not miss it.

We delivered advance warnings to populations in areas of Lebanon for their protection. Their return will depend on demilitarization south of the Litani River. Before our eyes is the removal of the direct threat to you, the residents of the north. We are systematically suppressing the threat of high-trajectory fire, employing all capabilities at our disposal. We are operating in various areas of Lebanon to enable security for the residents of the north and all citizens of Israel—Hezbollah is sustaining significant damage, and we will continue to deepen it.

We are operating in two arenas; the northern arena is an additional and central front alongside Iran. We see that the achievements against Iran are also affecting Hezbollah.

The resilience you demonstrate is an inseparable part of our effort. I want to express deep appreciation for your leadership, strength, and support for the IDF—this gives us the endurance to continue".

The soldiers located a large amount of Hezbollah equipment inside a school, including: military gear and uniforms of the organization, graduation certificates of the Radwan Force unit, RPG operation manuals, surface-to-surface rockets, and launchers.
This all was found alongside packages that were sent from Iran to Shiite villages in Lebanon.

Near the school, an additional cache of military equipment and weapons was found, including: military vests and helmets, explosive devices, and anti-tank missiles.

IDF: Another blow to the IRGC’s military buildup: The IDF eliminated the Head of Commerce at the IRGC’s Oil Headquarters in Tehran

Two days ago (Friday), the Israeli Air Force, acting on IDF Intelligence, struck in the Tehran area and eliminated Mohammad Reza Ashrafi Kahi, a senior commander in the IRGC’s Oil Headquarters, who served as the Head of Commerce.

The Oil Headquarters, which is subordinate to the IRGC command, enables the continued activity and military buildup of the IRGC through profits generated from oil sales, bypassing international sanctions.

Ashrafi managed the commercial operations of the Oil Headquarters, estimated at billions of dollars annually, and advanced the development of the IRGC’s military capabilities, as well as those of the Iranian terror regime’s proxies across the Middle East, foremost among them the Houthi terrorist regime, and the Hezbollah and Hamas terrorist organizations.

These activities fund the IRGC’s ballistic missile and UAV arrays, which are used to launch attacks toward the territory of the State of Israel and Gulf states, and to target oil infrastructure across the region.

His elimination follows that of Jamshid Eshaqi, commander of the Oil Headquarters of the armed forces, and constitutes an additional significant blow to the economic foundations of Iran’s security apparatus.

The IDF will continue to operate against commanders and leaders of the Iranian terror regime wherever necessary.

The IDF can now reveal that since the beginning of Operation Roaring Lion, approximately 165 rocket launches by the Hezbollah terrorist organization have landed inside or adjacent to UNIFIL posts.

IDF: Watch: Cooperation between the Israeli Air Force and ground forces in southern Lebanon as part of the the ongoing targeted operation

Since the beginning of the ongoing targeted operation against the Hezbollah terrorist organization, the Israeli Air Force has struck more than 2,000 targets in support of ground forces in southern Lebanon, using fighter jets, combat helicopters, and remotely piloted aircraft.

Israeli Air Force control centers and personnel maintain direct communication with ground forces, accompanying operations across various areas, directing troops in the field, and eliminating threats, at times within close proximity to the troops.

As part of strengthening joint, multi-domain cooperation, the Commander of the Israeli Air Force, Maj. Gen. Tomer Bar, conducted a situational assessment at the Northern Command alongside the Commanding Officer, Maj. Gen. Rafi Milo. The commanders discussed operational plans moving forward, and Israeli Air Force officers received an updated operational overview of forces on the ground and requirements for the continuation of the operation.
