Press Briefing by IDF Spokesperson Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari January 11th, 20:20
*IDF Spokesperson's Statement | 11.01*
Good evening.
We are continuing the war. In Gaza, operations are currently underway in various models. Four divisons focused in the central and southern parts of the Gaza Strip continue to operate. In the north of the country, we attacked Hezbollah military infrastructure in Lebanese territory and targeted the shooting sources from which rockets were fired into Israeli territory. We continue to erode Hezbollah's capabilities, the capabilities Hezbollah has built along our border. We prove this with actions. Our role is to create a security situation that will bring security to the residents of the north.
During these days, it is important to remember that we are fighting a just war like no other. A war that the enemy initiated deliberately and consciously when it committed crimes against humanity and cruel acts that have not been seen in the Western world for decades, most of them filmed and documented by the terrorists themselves. And yet, many in the world try to ignore them as if they did not happen. No. They happened. And we remember and will not forget and also will not allow the world to forget - in Gaza, 136 hostages are still held in harsh conditions without medical treatment.
We will never forget the Hamas massacre of October 7th. We will never let the world forget the Hamas massacre of October 7th, we will never let the world forget the hostages being held by Hamas since October 7th. Never again is our call to action because never again is now.
Since the war began, the IDF’s guiding value is full transparency to the public and the world of verified and relevant information in real-time which is accessible through all media channels and social networks. We will continue to update you continuously with all the information, even if I do not do it from now on with a daily statement, I will continue to stand here every two to three days to update, to answer any question, when needed I will stand immediately.
