Head of the Legal Advice and Legislative Affairs Department - Colonel Gal Asael
Colonel Asael has served in the MAG Corps since 2001 in a number of positions, including: Head Legal Clerk for the Deputy Military Advocate General, Head of the Strategic Branch and Deputy Head of the International Law Department, Legal Advisor to the IDF on matters of Private Law, Prosecutor and Head of Intelligence and Policy in the Chief Prosecutor’s Office, and Chief Prosecutor in the Prosecutor’s Office for Operational Matters.
Gal holds a Bachelor and Master of Laws from Haifa University, as well as a Master of Laws from the US Army JAG School in Virginia. He also is a graduate of "Afek" Command and Staff Course, and holds a Masters in National Security and Strategy from Israel’s National Security College.
