IDF Hits the Court with Maccabi All-Stars
In a dream match-up for IDF servicemen, Maccabi Tel Aviv faced off against an IDF basketball team today. Dozens of high-ranking officers left their bases to watch the General Staff Forum officers and Israel’s top-rated basketball team face off on the court.

In a surprisingly close game, Maccabi beat the IDF 37-34 on Wednesday. The 11th IDF Commanders Championship concluded the IDF’s month of health and fitness awareness.

The majority of General Staff Forum officers are ranked as major generals and the heads of military and civilian bodies. Maj. Gen. Orna Barbivai, the first female Major General in Israeli history, was among the 16 IDF players.
