Today, the Israel Defense Forces launched its official Arabic Facebook page. In addition to establishing a presence on Twitter and YouTube, the IDF will now share information in Arabic on Facebook regarding its activities in Israel, Judea and Samaria, and Gaza.

The effort was spearheaded by Major Avichay Adaree, an officer in the Arabic press department of the IDF Spokesperson's Unit.
