You’ve figured out what it is – an IDF soldier during the Search and Rescue Unit´s disaster zone exercise!
The Home Front Command‘s Search and Rescue Unit conducted a large-scale exercise together with police forces, medical teams and firefighters. The exercise simulated massive attack scenarios, such as missiles falling on civilian populations and suicide bombings with many casualties. Search and Rescue Unit soldiers practiced evacuating civilian casualties from the ruins of attack sites.
